The State Board of Elections is the state agency charged with overall responsibility for administering the elections process in North Carolina. It strives to ensure the fair and equal application of election laws for all participants in the electoral process.

As Co-Chair of the Home Committee of Election Law and Campaign Finance Reform, Paul Stam works closely with the Board. He has also sued the board regularly on 1st Ammendment issues.
